
The Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center (CPFRC) is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary center where clinicians and investigators conduct research on the mechanisms and most effective treatments for chronic pain and fatiguing conditions. Our goals are as follows:
- Expand, support, and continue multidisciplinary research in pain and fatiguing conditions at the University of Michigan
- Improve identification and diagnosis of the mechanisms underlying chronic pain and fatiguing conditions
- Develop interventions and treatments for the symptomatic components of these conditions
- Enhance the understanding of clinicians, researchers, and patients of the mechanisms underlying chronic pain and fatiguing conditions as well as the most efficacious treatment approaches for these conditions
- Develop programs that enhance the quality of life for patients suffering from these conditions
